The game starts with the King of Tycoon, and his daughter, Lenna, talking about the wind playing up. So the king goes to investigate. But on his arrival, the crystal shatters. She meets up with Butz and his chocobo, Boco, who are travellers, and then Galuf, some weird dude who came out of a comet. But you find out that he travelled to earth to stop all of the crystals shattering, because when that happens, Exdeath, the evil wizard, will be released. He was sealed 30 years before. He escapes, and you travel between Lenna and Galuf's worlds, and Exdeath merges them into one and sucks towns into nothing. You must enter that nothing to put a stop to Exdeath's evil plot and save the world!
This game wasn't released anywhere outside Japan, but some kind people have translated it into English. OK, it sounds just like a normal Final Fantasy title, but it is one of the best ones, because of it's great story, evil villans, humour and great music.
